Augel makes apprentices mobile<\/strong>
\nAugel offers new mobility concept starting at age 16 <\/strong><\/p>\n

WEIBERN, 15.12.2023. For young people under the age of 18 who are interested in an apprenticeship at Augel GmbH, there will be an option in future to travel to work in a so-called Ellenator. The vehicle is a converted Fiat 500 tricycle from Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg that Augel GmbH recently acquired. With this offer, the company would like to motivate young people under the age of 18 in particular to consider the apprenticeship programme at Augel, which they have not considered up to now due to the poor transport connections.<\/p>\n

\u2018In contrast to larger German cities, mobility is unfortunately somewhat limited in the Weibern region,\u2019 reports Sabine Holzem, responsible for HR at Augel GmbH. 'To ensure that this is not a reason for anyone to miss out on an apprenticeship with us, we have made a new mobility concept possible at Augel with the Ellenator,' she adds.<\/p>\n

With the converted Fiat, young people are able to get to the Augel headquarters and the company's construction sites with an A1 motorbike licence, which can be obtained from the age of 16.<\/p>\n

The Ellenator was developed by master car mechanic Wenzel Ellenrieder from D\u00f6singen\/Westendorf in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. This vehicle is a Fiat 500 with a limited power output of 125 cm3 with a maximum of 11 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of 0.1 kW\/kg, which was converted from a four-wheeled car to a three-wheeler. This conversion trick, for which Ellenrieder has a patent and is now converting the vehicles in series, means that even young people under the age of 18 without a category B driving licence can benefit from all the advantages of owning their own car. The Ellenator retains all the safety-relevant functions of the original Fiat car and has a top speed of 100 km\/h, which even makes motorway driving possible.<\/p>\n
